Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Biocidin is a proprietary broad-spectrum herbal formulation developed by Biocidin Botanicals (formerly Bio-Botanical Research) designed to address gut dysbiosis and support microbiome health. It contains a complex blend of botanical extracts and essential oils, including bilberry, noni, milk thistle, echinacea, goldenseal, and oregano oil. The formulation is primarily used for its antimicrobial and biofilm-disrupting properties, particularly in the management of Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). It is available in several delivery formats, including liquid drops, capsules (Biocidin REMOVE), and a liposomal spray (Biocidin LSF). Clinical research, including pilot studies at Johns Hopkins University, has investigated its efficacy in clearing SIBO and improving gastrointestinal symptoms and quality of life.
