Overview

BioCIN is a next-generation vancomycin-based antibiotic being developed by ImmuPharma for the treatment of life-threatening Gram-positive bacterial infections. It is designed as an improved formulation of vancomycin, aiming to reduce the toxicity and administration challenges (such as prolonged intravenous infusions) associated with the traditional drug. BioCIN targets bacterial cell wall synthesis and is being investigated for indications including MRSA infections, sepsis, lower respiratory tract infections, osteomyelitis, and complicated skin infections. The drug is intended for administration via injection or oral routes and is currently in preclinical development.
