Overview

BIOD-125 is an ultra-rapid-acting formulation of recombinant human insulin (RHI) developed by Biodel Inc. It is designed to improve upon previous formulations by maintaining ultra-rapid absorption while enhancing injection site toleration. BIOD-125 was compared to Humalog in a Phase 1 clinical trial, demonstrating faster absorption rates and improved toleration profiles[1][4][6].
