Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BioDGenesis is an injectable, viable placental tissue extract derived from human placental tissue, specifically developed for the treatment of symptomatic lumbar intervertebral disc degeneration (degenerative disc disease). The product consists of a cryopreserved, morselized tissue matrix that contains a complex mixture of extracellular matrix proteins, growth factors, and cytokines. It is designed to be administered via direct intradiscal injection to provide a regenerative scaffold and modulate the inflammatory environment within the degenerated disc space. Clinical evaluation of BioDGenesis has been led by the Semmes-Murphey Foundation to assess its efficacy in improving pain and functional outcomes in patients who have failed conservative care.
