Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bioeffective R is a natural product-based pharmaceutical consisting of high-purity polyprenols (acyclic isoprenoid alcohols) extracted from the green needles of conifer species. It is a registered prescription pharmaceutical in Russia, approved for the treatment of chronic hepatitis and hepatobiliary dysfunction. Polyprenols are naturally occurring analogues and precursors to dolichols, which are essential components of the dolichol phosphate cycle required for the cellular biosynthesis of glycoproteins. By supplementing the dolichol pool, Bioeffective R helps restore cellular membrane integrity and normalize metabolic processes. Clinical research has also indicated potential therapeutic benefits in neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases, as well as in the normalization of cholesterol levels and immune responses.
