Bioheart Acute Cell Therapy is an autologous, adipose tissue-derived stem cell treatment developed by Bioheart, Inc. for the treatment of acute heart damage, such as that resulting from a myocardial infarction. The therapy involves harvesting stem cells from the patient's own adipose (fat) tissue, which are then processed and delivered to the heart to promote the repair and regeneration of damaged cardiac tissue. This biologic therapy is distinct from Bioheart's lead candidate, MyoCell, which utilizes skeletal muscle-derived myoblasts for the treatment of chronic heart failure. Bioheart Acute Cell Therapy is specifically designed to address the immediate damage following acute cardiac events.
