Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BioLance is a probiotic-based oral rehydration therapy developed and marketed by Takgene. It is formulated as a sachet containing the probiotic bacterium *Lactobacillus reuteri*, zinc gluconate, vitamin A, and oral rehydration salts (ORS) consisting of potassium chloride, sodium citrate, sodium chloride, and glucose. BioLance is indicated for the treatment of acute and persistent diarrhea, as well as mild to moderate dehydration in children. The combination of *Lactobacillus reuteri* with zinc, vitamin A, and ORS helps shorten the duration and severity of diarrheal episodes, restore intestinal microflora balance, and modulate immune responses.
