Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BioLink018 is a monoclonal antibody directed against CD79B (B-cell antigen receptor complex-associated protein beta chain), a surface protein exclusively expressed on B cells and their malignant counterparts. Developed by Protheragen, the agent is currently in Phase I clinical trials for the treatment of Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). By targeting CD79B, BioLink018 aims to provide a highly specific therapeutic approach for B-cell malignancies, potentially through mechanisms such as antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) or direct signaling inhibition. CD79B is a validated target in hematologic oncology, notably as the target of the antibody-drug conjugate polatuzumab vedotin.
