Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BioLink1006 is a small molecule inhibitor of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) currently under development by Protheragen. It is positioned in Phase II clinical trials for the treatment of metastatic cancer. As an EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI), BioLink1006 is designed to bind to the intracellular kinase domain of EGFR, thereby blocking the downstream signaling pathways (such as RAS/MAPK and PI3K/AKT) that drive tumor cell proliferation and survival. The drug is part of Protheragen's portfolio of available projects for licensing and collaborative development.
