Overview

biomee™ is a line of biotech-derived topical skincare products developed by MC2 Therapeutics using their proprietary PAD (Polyaphron Dispersion) Technology™. The formulation is designed to provide relief for moderate to severe itch and dry skin associated with conditions such as chronic kidney disease-associated pruritus (CKD-aP), vulvar lichen sclerosus (VLS), and incontinence-associated dermatitis (IAD). The PAD Technology allows for ultra-pure formulations with extremely low emulsifier levels (less than 0.6%), which helps maintain the skin's natural microbiome and reduces irritation. The products utilize an encapsulation technology that provides sustained release of ingredients, adapting to the skin's pH and moisture levels to optimize barrier function and comfort. While currently marketed as over-the-counter (OTC) skincare, the formulation is also being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical development for specific medical indications.
