Bionanomatrix DPC is a preclinical-stage dental medical device coating developed by Endomimetics in collaboration with BISCO, Inc. It utilizes a proprietary peptide-based nanomatrix technology consisting of self-assembling peptide amphiphiles designed for direct pulp capping procedures. The nanomatrix features dual functionality: one component is engineered to bind endothelial cells to facilitate tissue healing and regeneration, while the other provides the controlled, sustained release of nitric oxide (NO). This localized delivery of nitric oxide aims to provide antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory benefits and induce the formation of a mineralized dentin barrier. The technology is intended to maintain dental pulp vitality and improve clinical outcomes in the treatment of dental caries and pulp exposure, potentially replacing traditional pulp capping materials.
