Bionect Start

Bionect Start is a topical fluid ointment developed by Fidia Farmaceutici S.p.A. for the local treatment of chronic ulcers, including venous leg ulcers, pressure sores, and diabetic ulcers. It is a CE-marked medical device (CE 0373) that combines hyaluronic acid sodium salt (0.2%) with bacterial collagenase (≥2.0 nkat/g) derived from *Vibrio alginolyticus*. The hyaluronic acid component provides a moist environment and tissue protection, while the collagenase enzymatically debrides necrotic and fibrinous tissue, facilitating wound bed preparation. It is often used in conjunction with compression therapy for venous ulcers.
