Overview

BIOPIN is an investigational extended-release implant designed to deliver naltrexone for the treatment of opioid use disorder (OUD). It is a small, bioresorbable implant inserted subcutaneously, intended to slowly release medication over many months. The goal is to provide sustained naltrexone levels, potentially for up to 12 months, to help prevent relapse in individuals with OUD. It is being developed by Drug Delivery Company, LLC DBA Akyso Pharmaceuticals.
