Bioprost (Биопрост) is a phytotherapeutic combination drug developed and manufactured by the Russian pharmaceutical company Intelpharm. It is formulated as rectal suppositories containing two primary active ingredients: pumpkin seed oil (500 mg) and thymol (100 mg). Bioprost is indicated for the treatment of chronic bacterial and non-bacterial prostatitis, as well as for the symptomatic management of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The preparation exhibits anti-inflammatory, bacteriostatic, and analgesic properties, which help reduce inflammation in the prostate gland, alleviate localized pain, and improve urinary flow. As a multi-component herbal product, it is available over-the-counter in Russia.
