Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BioproSyn is an oral liposomal iron supplement formulated as drops for infants and children, developed by Takgene. It contains ferric pyrophosphate (liposomal iron), folic acid (vitamin B9), and vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin). The liposomal delivery system of ferric pyrophosphate enhances bioavailability and gastrointestinal absorption while minimizing common side effects of iron supplementation, such as gastric irritation and tooth discoloration. BioproSyn is indicated to prevent and treat iron deficiency anemia, support red blood cell formation, and promote healthy physical growth and nervous system development in pediatric populations.
