Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Biorepair Periogel is a specialized topical oral care treatment developed by Coswell, designed to protect and repair gum tissue and tooth surfaces. Its primary active component is MicroRepair, which consists of biomimetic zinc-substituted carbonate-hydroxyapatite nanoparticles. These particles are capable of binding to tooth enamel and dentin, effectively remineralizing micro-scratches and creating a protective barrier against acid erosion and bacterial plaque. The formulation is further enriched with hyaluronic acid, which promotes the hydration and healing of the oral mucosa, and lactoferrin, an antimicrobial protein that helps inhibit the growth of periodontal pathogens by sequestering iron. It is primarily indicated for the treatment and prevention of gingivitis, periodontitis, and gum inflammation, and is frequently used as a supportive therapy following dental procedures or professional cleanings to facilitate tissue regeneration.
