Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Biosly is a triple-strain probiotic combination product developed by TOA Biopharma. It contains three symbiotic bacterial strains: *Enterococcus faecalis*, *Clostridium butyricum*, and *Bacillus mesentericus*. These strains work synergistically to regulate intestinal flora and improve gastrointestinal symptoms such as functional constipation and constipation-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-C). *Enterococcus faecalis* produces lactic acid, *Clostridium butyricum* produces butyric acid (a key energy source for colonocytes), and *Bacillus mesentericus* promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria like Bifidobacteria. The product is available in various forms, including orally disintegrating (OD) tablets, and is often used in combination with other therapies like magnesium oxide to manage chronic constipation.
