Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Biosynthetic convalescent plasma is an investigational **antibody cocktail biologic** developed by Immunome for treatment of COVID-19. It was described as a synthetically manufactured combination of approximately 4 to 6 highly potent anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies identified from B cells of patients who recovered from COVID-19 infection. The intended mechanism is to bind SARS-CoV-2 and provide broad viral neutralization and multiple viral clearance mechanisms while avoiding limitations of donor-derived convalescent plasma such as supply constraints, donor variability, and poor scalability. The program appears to have been positioned as an industrially scalable, standardized alternative to traditional convalescent plasma.
