Overview
**Biotop** is a Korean over-the-counter oral probiotic pharmaceutical product from HanAll Biopharma containing *Lactobacillus acidophilus*, *Clostridium butyricum* TO-A, *Bacillus mesentericus* TO-A, and *Streptococcus faecalis* T-110. It is intended to normalize intestinal microbial balance and is used for intestinal dysbiosis-associated symptoms including constipation, loose stools, abdominal distension, and abnormal intestinal fermentation. In a multicenter observational study, Biotop capsule improved stool-related symptoms and quality-of-life measures in patients with ulcerative colitis in endoscopic remission who had residual irritable bowel syndrome-like symptoms.
