Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**bIRV AB** is an investigational bivalent influenza modified RNA vaccine developed by BioNTech and Pfizer. It is designed to target one influenza A strain and one influenza B strain, using modRNA to direct in vivo production of vaccine antigens and elicit protective humoral and cellular immune responses. It was evaluated as part of Pfizer's C4781001 Phase 1/2 influenza modRNA vaccine study; the bIRV A/B formulation was assessed in the Phase 1 substudy in healthy adults aged 65 to 85 years.
