Overview
BiShengZhiYan (BSZY) cream is a topical Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed for the treatment of mild-to-moderate atopic facial dermatitis. It is a hospital-specific preparation from the Yueyang Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, affiliated with the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The cream is designed to reconstruct the damaged skin barrier and strengthen the skin's inherent repair capacity. Clinical investigations, including a randomized, double-blind, controlled trial (NCT05792826), evaluate its efficacy using the Scoring Atopic Dermatitis (SCORAD) scale and other safety indicators to provide evidence for its use in delicate facial skin conditions where standard options may be limited.
