Drug intelligence / Profile preview
bispecific ANGPTL3-DGAT2 siRNA is a preclinical-stage bispecific small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutic developed by Argonaute RNA Ltd in collaboration with the University of Cambridge. Utilizing Argonaute's proprietary PULSE siRNA™ platform, the drug is designed for the simultaneous silencing of both angiopoietin-like protein 3 (ANGPTL3) and diacylglycerol O-acyltransferase 2 (DGAT2) in hepatocytes. This dual-targeting approach aims to concurrently treat hepatic steatosis and reduce the residual risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) by lowering both liver fat accumulation and atherogenic plasma lipids (such as LDL-C and triglycerides) without inducing the adverse lipid profiles associated with single-target therapies.
