Overview

Anti-BCMA bispecific antibodies represent a class of cancer immunotherapies designed to treat multiple myeloma. These dual-targeting molecules simultaneously bind to B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA), which is highly expressed on malignant plasma cells, and CD3 on T cells. By bridging these two cell types, the bispecific antibody redirects and activates cytotoxic T lymphocytes to selectively target and lyse the myeloma cells. Approved agents in this class, such as teclistamab and elranatamab, have demonstrated significant efficacy in patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma, providing an off-the-shelf treatment option.
