Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The bispecific antibody targeting CD45RB and Tim1 is a preclinical-stage bispecific monoclonal antibody being developed by Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). It simultaneously targets Receptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase C (PTPRC, specifically the CD45RB isoform) and Hepatitis A virus cellular receptor 1 (HAVCR1, also known as Tim1). This dual-targeting approach is designed to induce and maintain regulatory B cells (Bregs), promoting immune tolerance and prolonging allogeneic islet graft survival in transplantation models. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that treatment with this bispecific antibody upregulates the expression of activation-induced cytidine deaminase (AICDA/AID) in Tim1+ Bregs, which plays a key role in Breg-mediated immunoregulation and transplant tolerance.
