The **BITAP peptide pool** is a personalized peptide-based cancer vaccine consisting of a pool of synthetic peptides derived from tumor-specific antigens (TSAs) and tumor-associated antigens (TAAs), selected through an in-house bioinformatics pipeline known as BioInformatic Tumor Address Peptides (BITAP)[1][3][4][5]. Peptides are designed based on sequencing of tumor and patient genetic material to identify and prioritize neoantigens, then synthesized at high purity for use in individualized immunotherapy. The vaccine is formulated with a peptide pool containing multiple short and/or long peptides, typically administered with the XS15 adjuvant and Montanide ISA 51 VG, and is given by subcutaneous injection[1][3]. It is intended to induce strong T-cell mediated antitumor immune responses by presenting personalized, immunogenic neoepitopes to the patient’s immune system. BITAP peptide pool immunization is being investigated primarily for metastatic cancers, including breast and prostate cancer, often in combination with immune checkpoint inhibitors like nivolumab and topical imiquimod, and has demonstrated feasibility, safety, and some initial efficacy in compassionate or early-access clinical case reports.
