Overview

This is a combination of three vaccines administered concomitantly to adolescents for broad protection against multiple serious bacterial diseases. Bivalent rLP2086 (Trumenba) is a recombinant protein-based vaccine targeting *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroup B by inducing bactericidal antibodies against factor H binding proteins on the bacterial surface. MCV4 is a quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine that protects against *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroups A, C, W, and Y by generating immunity to polysaccharide antigens conjugated to carrier proteins. Tdap is a combined vaccine containing reduced diphtheria toxoid, tetanus toxoid, and acellular pertussis components for protection against diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis. Clinical studies have shown that coadministration of these vaccines in adolescents meets noninferiority criteria for immunogenicity without increased reactogenicity compared to individual administration[1][2][5]. This approach provides comprehensive coverage against five major disease-causing meningococcal serogroups as well as diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis.
