Overview

A vaccine component consisting of two subtype C recombinant monomeric envelope proteins (TV1.C and 1086.C gp120s) combined with the MF59 adjuvant, a protein dose-sparing squalene oil-in-water emulsion. This vaccine component is delivered as a 0.5 mL intramuscular injection, containing 100 μg of each recombinant protein. It was developed as part of HIV vaccine regimens being tested in clinical trials, particularly as a replacement for the bivalent A244 (CRF01_AE) and subtype B MN gp120 proteins used in the RV144 trial.
