The bivalent typhoid and paratyphoid A conjugate vaccine is an investigational vaccine being developed by Zydus Lifesciences to provide protection against enteric fever caused by *Salmonella Typhi* and *Salmonella Paratyphi A*. As a conjugate vaccine, it works by linking bacterial polysaccharides to a carrier protein to enhance the immune response, particularly in young children. This bivalent approach represents a significant advancement over existing monovalent typhoid vaccines, as paratyphoid A accounts for a substantial proportion of enteric fever cases in endemic regions like Asia.
