Overview

BJT-574 is an orally bioavailable small-molecule hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) inhibitor being developed for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. It was initially developed by Novartis and is now being advanced by Bluejay Therapeutics, which is positioning it as a liver-targeted HBV transcript inhibitor designed to efficiently reduce HBsAg production from HBV-infected hepatocytes, with the goal of restoring antiviral immunity and contributing to a functional cure, potentially in combination with other HBV-directed agents such as anti-HBsAg monoclonal antibodies.[3][4][5]
