BK003

BK003 is a medical nutrition product developed by BiOkuris, a subsidiary of the KitoZyme Group. It is an oral formulation containing chitin-glucan, a fungal-derived biopolymer extracted from *Aspergillus niger*, combined with vitamins B and D3 and essential minerals. BK003 is specifically designed to manage irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)-like symptoms in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), particularly those with Crohn's disease in remission, while also addressing micronutrient deficiencies. Its mechanism of action involves the modulation of gut microbiota, strengthening the intestinal barrier, and reducing inflammation to restore gut homeostasis.
