Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BK011 (Weituo) is a recombinant anti-EGFR human-mouse chimeric monoclonal antibody developed by Zhejiang Xinwei Shengke Biotechnology. It is designed to target the Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR), a transmembrane protein that is frequently overexpressed in various solid tumors and plays a critical role in cell proliferation, survival, and metastasis. By binding to the extracellular domain of EGFR, BK011 inhibits the activation of downstream signaling pathways. The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials to assess its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary antitumor activity in patients with advanced malignant solid tumors, with a specific focus on esophagogastric cancers that have failed standard therapies.
