BL-2060

BL-2060 is an orally bioavailable small molecule inhibitor of phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4), an enzyme that plays a critical role in the regulation of inflammatory responses by degrading cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP). By inhibiting PDE4, BL-2060 increases intracellular cAMP levels, which subsequently suppresses the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and promotes the activity of anti-inflammatory mediators. Developed by BioLineRx, the compound was primarily investigated for the treatment of chronic inflammatory airway diseases, including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
