Overview

Black Cloth Ointment (BCO) is a cosmetic ointment developed for the treatment of hypertrophic scars (HS). Its primary active ingredient is β-elemene. The ointment works by inducing the apoptosis of myofibroblasts and increasing the expression of ER stress-related markers, which leads to an improvement in the pathological structure of scars and a reduction in collagen deposition.
