Overview
Weliva Cimidona (also known as Cimidona) is an over-the-counter natural health product containing Ze 450, a standardized dry extract of *Actaea racemosa* (black cohosh) rhizome and root. Developed by Max Zeller Söhne and licensed to Norwell Consumer Healthcare in Canada, it is indicated for the relief of multiple menopausal symptoms, including hot flashes, night sweats, fatigue, irritability, nervousness, and sleep disturbances. Ze 450 acts through non-estrogenic, neuro-hormonal pathways, exhibiting partial agonist activity at serotonin receptors (5-HT1A, 5-HT1D, 5-HT7) and mu-type opioid receptors involved in hypothalamic thermoregulation, thereby stabilizing the temperature-control center of the brain without mediating estrogenic effects.
