black raspberry extract gel

A vaginal gel formulation containing black raspberry extract developed by Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital. It is specifically designed to treat Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infection in patients with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) following cervical conization. The extract, derived from Rubus occidentalis, contains bioactive compounds such as anthocyanins and ellagitannins that exhibit anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, and anti-proliferative properties. In a Phase 2 multicenter trial, the gel demonstrated a significant increase in HPV clearance (72.8% vs 15.8% for placebo) and a substantial reduction in viral load, suggesting its potential as a non-invasive therapeutic option for post-surgical HPV management.
