Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BLB-102 is a Topoisomerase 1 (TOP1) inhibitor being developed by BayLink Biosciences for the treatment of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). The drug functions by inhibiting the DNA topoisomerase 1 enzyme, which is essential for relieving torsional strain during DNA replication and transcription. By stabilizing the TOP1-DNA covalent complex, BLB-102 induces DNA strand breaks, leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in malignant cells. The program is currently in the IND-enabling stage of development.
