Overview

BLB-103 is a preclinical-stage therapeutic candidate developed by BayLink Biosciences, targeting Glypican-3 (GPC3). It is designed as a targeted therapy for liver cancer (specifically hepatocellular carcinoma) and lung cancer. The drug functions as a Topoisomerase 1 inhibitor, likely delivered via an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) modality, which allows for the selective delivery of the cytotoxic payload to GPC3-expressing tumor cells. By inhibiting Topoisomerase 1, BLB-103 prevents DNA religation, leading to lethal DNA strand breaks and apoptosis in malignant cells.
