Overview

This drug combination consists of the BEACOPP chemotherapy regimen (bleomycin, etoposide, doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide, vincristine, procarbazine, and prednisone) administered alongside goserelin, a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist. BEACOPP is a standard-of-care intensive chemotherapy regimen developed by the German Hodgkin's Lymphoma Study Group for advanced-stage Hodgkin Lymphoma. Goserelin is added to this regimen specifically to suppress ovarian function during treatment, aiming to protect the ovarian reserve and reduce chemotherapy-induced ovarian toxicity in fertile female patients. The regimen targets multiple pathways, including DNA replication, microtubule assembly, and the pituitary-gonadal axis.
