The combination of bleomycin, vinblastine, and cisplatin—commonly referred to as PVB—is a multi-agent chemotherapy regimen primarily used in the treatment of advanced germ cell tumors, including testicular cancer and ovarian granulosa cell tumors. - **Bleomycin** is an antitumor antibiotic that induces DNA strand breaks through free radical formation. - **Vinblastine** is a vinca alkaloid that inhibits microtubule assembly, arresting cells in metaphase. - **Cisplatin** is a platinum-based compound that forms DNA crosslinks, inhibiting DNA synthesis and function. This regimen has demonstrated efficacy in inducing complete responses in patients with metastatic germ cell neoplasms but is associated with significant hematologic and nonhematologic toxicities (notably pulmonary toxicity from bleomycin)[1][2][4][5][6]. The combination remains an important option for certain malignancies where curative intent is possible.
