bleomycin + vincristine + vinblastine

bleomycin + vincristine + vinblastine is a multi-agent cytotoxic chemotherapy combination comprising the antitumor antibiotic bleomycin and the vinca alkaloids vincristine and vinblastine, used experimentally and in historical regimens for Hodgkin lymphoma and other lymphoid malignancies. Bleomycin binds and induces oxidative cleavage of DNA, causing single- and double-strand breaks, while vincristine and vinblastine bind tubulin and inhibit microtubule polymerization, arresting cells in metaphase and disrupting mitotic spindle formation. The combination is designed to exploit non-overlapping mechanisms of action and partially non-overlapping toxicities to increase antineoplastic efficacy against rapidly dividing tumor cells.
