Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Blephagel is a hypoallergenic, preservative-free gel designed for the daily hygiene of sensitive eyelids and eyelashes. Developed by Laboratoires Théa, it is specifically formulated to mechanically remove mucus, crusts, and scales from the eyelid margins without irritating the eyes or damaging the outer layers of the epidermis. It is commonly used as an adjunctive treatment for blepharitis, dry eye syndrome associated with meibomian gland dysfunction, and for pre- and post-operative eyelid cleaning. The formulation utilizes Poloxamer 188 to emulsify and solubilize ocular secretions while maintaining skin hydration.
