Overview

BLLCAR-L10D is a dual-specificity chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to simultaneously target the CD19 and CD22 antigens. Developed by the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, this autologous cell therapy is primarily investigated for the treatment of relapsed or refractory acute B lymphoblastic leukemia (R/R B-ALL). The dual-targeting approach is intended to overcome the limitations of single-antigen CAR-T therapies, specifically reducing the incidence of relapse caused by antigen escape (loss of CD19 expression). The treatment process involves isolating a patient's peripheral blood mononuclear cells via leukapheresis, genetically engineering them to express the dual CARs, and re-infusing the modified cells following lymphodepleting chemotherapy.
