Overview
Blonanserin transdermal patch is an atypical antipsychotic drug formulated as a patch for transdermal application. It is a highly selective, full antagonist of dopamine D2 and D3 receptors and serotonin 5-HT2A receptors. The patch formulation was developed to provide a new administration route for blonanserin, which was originally available as a tablet. It is primarily used for the treatment of schizophrenia, with clinical trials showing significant reductions in PANSS (Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale) total scores compared to placebo.
