Drug intelligence / Profile preview
blue®m oral gel (peroxoborate oxygen-releasing oral gel) is a topical oxygen therapy product formulated as a medical device and used as an adjunctive treatment for periodontal diseases, including periodontitis, gingivitis, and peri-implantitis, as well as for promoting oral wound healing. Developed by blue®m International, the gel contains sodium peroxoborate (sodium perborate) as its primary active ingredient, which undergoes a chemical reaction upon contact with oral moisture to slowly and continuously release active oxygen (reactive oxygen species) and low concentrations of hydrogen peroxide. This controlled release of oxygen elevates local oxygen tension, selectively eradicating anaerobic oral pathogens (such as *Porphyromonas gingivalis*) and inhibiting plaque biofilm formation. Additionally, the formulation contains lactoferrin, which stimulates bone cell activity and exerts synergistic anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects. blue®m oral gel is applied topically to affected oral tissues, surgical wounds, or deep periodontal pockets to accelerate tissue regeneration, stimulate angiogenesis, and reduce postoperative pain.
