Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BLUpan Protect is an ophthalmic medical device developed by Pharma Stulln, specifically formulated to alleviate symptoms of dry eye and protect the ocular surface from high-energy visible (HEV) blue light emitted by digital screens. The formulation is a combination of sodium hyaluronate and dexpanthenol. Sodium hyaluronate is a visco-elastic polymer that stabilizes the tear film and provides long-lasting lubrication, reducing friction and irritation. Dexpanthenol (provitamin B5) acts as a humectant to enhance the water-binding capacity of the ocular surface and supports the physiological regeneration of the corneal epithelium. Together, these components provide a protective shield and moisture, relieving the redness, burning, and gritty sensations associated with keratoconjunctivitis sicca and digital eye strain.
