Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BMAC + collagen is a regenerative combination therapy consisting of autologous bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC) seeded onto a collagen scaffold. BMAC is a source of concentrated mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), hematopoietic stem cells, and bioactive molecules including bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs), platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), and transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β). These components work synergistically to promote osteogenesis, angiogenesis, and modulate inflammation. The collagen scaffold serves as a biocompatible carrier that provides structural integrity and a matrix for cell attachment and migration within the bone defect. Developed by Cairo University, this combination is specifically investigated for treating peri-implant defects to minimize marginal bone loss and enhance bone healing around immediate dental implants in the maxillary esthetic zone.
