Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BMC121 is a microbial drug candidate being developed by Biomica, a subsidiary of Evogene, for the treatment of various cancers. As part of Biomica's immuno-oncology program, BMC121 is classified as a live biotherapeutic product (LBP) designed to modulate the host microbiome to enhance anti-tumor immune responses. The candidate is intended to be used either as a monotherapy or in combination with other cancer treatments, such as immune checkpoint inhibitors, to improve therapeutic outcomes. Biomica has partnered with the French contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) Biose Industrie for the scale-up and GMP production of BMC121 to support its transition into first-in-human clinical trials.
