Overview

BMC2012 is an autologous bone marrow cell-based therapy developed for the treatment of proximal humerus fractures. It consists of preoperatively isolated autologous bone marrow cells (BMCs) seeded onto β-TCP (beta-tricalcium phosphate) in combination with angle stable fixation (Philos plate®). The therapy was tested in a clinical phase-I trial to evaluate its safety and feasibility.
