BMC427 is a microbiome-based therapeutic candidate developed by Biomica, a subsidiary of Evogene, for the treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Identified using Evogene's MicroBoost AI engine, BMC427 is a live biotherapeutic product (LBP) consisting of a rationally designed consortium of bacterial strains. The program aims to restore microbial balance in the gut to alleviate symptoms associated with IBS. Biomica received strategic investment from Shanghai Healthcare Capital to advance this and other pipeline candidates into clinical development.
