Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BMD006 + PD-1 antibody is a combination therapy involving BMD006, an inhaled mRNA tumor-associated antigen (TAA) dry powder vaccine, with a PD-1 immune checkpoint inhibitor antibody. BMD006 is designed as an off-the-shelf anti-tumor vaccine that delivers mRNA encoding several clinically validated tumor antigens. For solid tumors with lung metastasis, BMD006 encodes four melanoma-associated antigens; for primary lung cancer, it encodes six primary lung tumor antigens. The combination with PD-1 antibody is under investigation for synergistic effects in enhancing anti-tumor immunity, particularly in advanced lung cancer or other advanced solid tumors with lung metastasis that are refractory to standard treatments. The mRNA vaccine is administered through inhalation, while the PD-1 antibody is given systemically.
